Some of my stuff, main listing:
Kitchen Equipment Amazon List: Things I have and use.* Some are borderline antiques.Ingredients Amazon List: Ingredients that I like.*
*I didn't buy all of these things from Amazon, it's just a convenient way of making these lists to share and refer to. Some things can be picked up locally for a better price, so it may be worth having a look around first.
Other websites with things I like:
- Gold Medal slush flavor bottles and pumps from KaTom
- Glass milk bottles and lids from Red Hill General Store
- Bulk Dextrose and HiMaize from Honeyville
- Cocoa Butter and cacao nibs from Cocoa Supply
- Misc equipment and ingredients at Webstaurant Store
- Bulk grains and seeds, many kinds like Kamut and sesame, also mixers, mills, and gadgets from Pleasant Hill Grain
- Spices from Penzeys, MySpiceSage, and Bulk Apothecary. I especially like Penzey's Cinnamon blend. Some of their products are available thru Amazon. Can often save money with larger quantities, and refill bags if you've already got a jar.
- Herbs, items for tea, root beer (like real sassafras root) at Penn Herb, and Monterey Bay Spice Company
- Green coffee beans from Sweet Maria's
- Unusual dried ingredients (cream, eggs, cheddar, goat milk), gourmet popcorn, instant clearjel from Hoosier Hill Farm; also many of their items are available through Amazon.
- A favorite for baking ingredients, gadgets, and recipes: King Arthur Flour
- 5" deep-dish pizza pans from Webstaurant Store, for making Schlotzky's buns.
- Perfumer's Apprentice/The Flavor Apprentice, a commercial perfume and flavorings company that has decided to sell smaller quantities to the public. Some items on Amazon too. Try "ripe strawberry", one of the colas, and "Dr. Pop". I sometimes us a flavoring and some citric and/or malic acid to punch-up otherwise naturally flavored recipes.
None of these links are monetized; I'm just sharing.
